Gerber has been making quality products since 1884. They have a wide range of products, but their baby foods are particularly well known. Their Peach Puree is a great option for babies who are just starting solids, as it contains only natural ingredients and is free from artificial colours and preservatives. This particular variety comes in two flavours - Peach & Banana and Peach & Strawberry.
The Gerber Peach is an apple shaped fruit that has been grown for over 100 years. The first Gerbers were created in 1885 by Dr. William W. Gerber who was inspired by his daughter, Mary Ann Gerber. He wanted to create a new type of apple that would last longer than apples did at the time. His goal was to make apples that could be stored for long periods of time without spoiling. This led him to develop a variety of fruits that had a hard skin and crisp flesh. These fruits included peaches, plums, apricots, nectarines, cherries, and strawberries. In addition to these fruits, he developed a pear called the "Pearl" because it looked like a pearl.
Gerber named this particular fruit after himself. It was originally known as the Dr. Gerber, but later became known as the Gerber Peach.
When I was growing up, my mom made sure we had fresh peaches every summer. She would slice them up, put them in our lunchboxes, and then she'd take us to the park where we could play while munching away on these delicious treats. We loved them so much that we begged her to let us eat them whenever we wanted. Now that I'm grown up, I still love peaches. But I never thought I'd ever say I need a Gerber Peach.
That changed recently when I started working at Gerber. One of my coworkers brought in a bunch of Gerber Peaches for me to taste test. I couldn't believe how sweet and juicy they were. I knew right away that I needed one of these babies in my life. So, I asked my mom to send me a pack of Gerber Peaches. Then I went home and tried to figure out which one I liked best.
The problem was that I didn't know what to do with them. My mom told me to cut them up and add them to oatmeal or pancakes. But I wasn't really hungry for breakfast. What else could I use them for?
Then, I remembered that I had seen a recipe online for homemade peach ice cream. I decided to try this recipe out. After all, I figured, if anyone knows how to make a perfect peach pie, surely they must know how to make a perfect peach ice cream. Right?
Well, turns out I was wrong. When I finally tasted my creation, I realized that I had created a masterpiece. The flavor was amazing. The texture was smooth and creamy. And the smell was heavenly. I immediately knew that I had found my new favorite dessert. I now look forward to making this again and again. And I definitely recommend this recipe to anyone who loves peaches.
To make this recipe, start by slicing your peaches. Next, place them in a bowl and cover them with water. Let them soak overnight. Once they're ready, drain off any excess liquid and pat dry. Then chop them up and toss them in a blender along with the rest of the ingredients. Blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into a container and freeze according to package directions. Serve topped with whipped topping or vanilla wafer cookies.
If you have children, then you probably already know how important nutrition is for babies. You may even have heard about the Gerber Baby Food line of products. These foods were designed specifically for infants and toddlers. They are formulated to provide complete nutrition for growing bodies. And they taste great! Unfortunately, many parents find themselves overwhelmed by the number of choices available. So, where do you start? How do you decide which one is best for your child?
Look for a product that contains real fruit juice. Real fruit juices are better than artificial ones because they contain vitamins and minerals found in fresh fruits. Artificial juices often lack nutrients and flavor.
Avoid products that contain added sugars. Sugars add nothing to the nutritional value of the food. Instead, use natural sweeteners like honey, molasses, maple syrup, agave nectar, etc.
Avoid products that contain preservatives. Preservatives prevent spoilage and extend shelf life. However, most experts agree that they aren't necessary in infant formulas.
Look for products that are free of additives. There are many different types of additives used in processed foods. Some are harmless; others are harmful. It's considered safe for adults, but studies show that it could affect young children. Other common additives include dyes, stabilizers, emulsifiers, thickeners, and other substances that may not be listed on the ingredient list.
Gerber Peach Purees are free of any of those additives. This means that they're perfect for feeding your baby. Plus, they're delicious!
Peach flavor. The first ingredient listed on the label should always be "peaches." This means the product contains no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, sweeteners, or other additives. Peaches are naturally sweet, so they shouldn't add sugar to your child's diet.
No artificial ingredients. Artificial ingredients can cause allergic reactions in children. Look for products that list only natural ingredients, such as fruit juice concentrate, corn syrup solids, and vegetable oils.
Natural colorings. Natural coloring agents are derived from plants and minerals, rather than petroleum. They may be more expensive than their synthetic counterparts, but they're safer for kids' sensitive skin.
Low calorie. Most Gerber Peach products are low in calories. Choose products that are less than 100 calories per ounce.
Good source of vitamins. Many Gerber Peach products are rich in vitamin C and potassium. These nutrients support strong bones and teeth, while also promoting overall growth and development.
Easy to digest. Some Gerber Peach products are made with enzymes that break down proteins and carbohydrates into easily digested pieces. Enzymes help promote digestion and absorption of nutrients.
Fun. Gerber Peach products are fun to play with. They're great for toddlers who enjoy finger painting, art projects, and pretend play. Plus, they're perfect for little hands.
