If you've ever used a folding knife, then you already understand how useful they can be. They're small, compact, and easy to carry. And if you want something even better, try one of the newest knives from CRKT. These knives have many features that set them apart from other folding knives. Let's take a closer look at some of their unique features:
Blade Steel - Blade steel is the most important feature of any knife. This determines the durability of the knife. For example, stainless steel blades tend to rust easily. On the other hand, carbon steel blades hold up very well against corrosion. Carbon steel blades are typically found in kitchen knives. Stainless steel blades are typically found in utility knives. You'll find that carbon steel blades are best suited for everyday use, while stainless steel blades are ideal for outdoor activities like camping and hunting.
Stainless Steel Handle - A great way to protect the handle of your knife is by wrapping it in leather. Leather handles provide excellent protection against scratches and nicks. Leather handles come in various colors and styles. You can even add decorative stitching to create a custom look. Leather handles are available in different thicknesses so you can pick the perfect size for your needs.
Finger Grooves - Finger grooves are another great feature of a CRKT Shrill. When folded, the knife stays closed thanks to finger grooves. This allows you to quickly open the knife without having to remove your fingers from the handle. You can also lock the blade in place with the thumb studs located behind the guard.
Thumb Studs - Thumb studs are another handy feature of a CRKT Shrill. They keep the blade locked in place when you fold the knife. You can also adjust the angle of the blade by turning the thumb studs.
Locking Mechanism - Locking mechanisms are another great feature of a CRKT Shrill. There are two types of locking mechanisms: push button locks and thumbstud locks. Push button locks are simple to operate. Simply press down on the button to unlock the blade.
Sharp blades. When you're using a knife, you want a sharp blade. But, if you're new to knives, you may not know how to sharpen them properly. That's why you'll want to invest in a quality knife sharpener. The best way to do this is with a knife sharpening system such as a CRKT Shrill. This tool features two sharpening stones that allow you to hone your blade quickly and easily.
Stainless steel construction. Stainless steel is durable and corrosion resistant. And, stainless steel is easier to clean than other materials. Plus, it doesn't rust over time.
Easy to maintain. Because stainless steel is more durable than other materials, it requires less maintenance. In fact, you only need to wipe down your stainless steel knife once a week. With regular cleaning, you can extend its lifespan.
Versatile. Whether you're cooking, camping, hunting, fishing, gardening, or just cutting vegetables, a versatile knife makes everyday tasks easier. A CRKT Shrill has three positions, allowing you to cut food in multiple ways.
CRKT Shrills feature a patented design that allows you to adjust the angle between the handle and the blade. This lets you create custom angles depending on the task you're performing.
Lightweight. Unlike heavier knives, a CRKT Shrill weighs about 2 ounces. This means you can carry it everywhere you go.
Accessories. Most knives come with a sheath, but you can add accessories to personalize your knife. Some popular options include leather sheaths, lanyards, and belt loops.
CRKT Shrills are available in several sizes and styles. Choose from straight edge, drop point, clip point, and even serrated.
What's included? Each package contains a CRKT Shrill, a leather sheath, and a carrying case. All you need to do is attach the sheath to the blade and you're ready to go!
