Helical folding knives have been around since the early 1900s, but they haven't really taken off until recently. They offer a unique style and functionality that other folders lack. This guide will help you decide whether a helical folder is right for you.
The crkt Helical is an innovative new tool for cutting cardboard, paper, plastic, wood, foam, etc. It has been engineered to cut through all these materials without damaging them. The crkt Helical cuts quickly and efficiently while providing superior control over the blade. This makes it ideal for hobbyists who want to make custom projects like model airplanes, rockets, and more!
The crkt Helical uses a unique design that allows the user to fold the blades into position before using it. After unfolding the blades, the user places the crkt Helical against the material they wish to cut. Then, the user pulls down on the handle to open the blades and begin cutting. The crkt Helical will automatically adjust its angle based on how much pressure is applied to the handle. If too little pressure is applied, the blades will remain closed; if too much pressure is applied, the blades will open wide.
Helicals are useful tools for cutting through things like paper, cardboard, plastic, foil, and other materials. But most people use them only once or twice before throwing them away. Why not save money and space by using one again and again?
The answer lies in the design of these handy tools. Helicals are made from two pieces of metal bent around each other. When you open the tool, the blades separate and fold back against themselves. Then, when you close the tool, the blades lock into place. This makes it possible to cut multiple times without losing any blade.
This feature makes helicals perfect for everyday tasks. You can use them to cut paper, cardboard, foil, and other items. And since they're designed to last, you can reuse them over and over again.
But this feature isn't limited to cutting. You can also use them to open jars and cans. Simply slide the blades along the rim until they hit the lid. Then, pull the handles apart to pop off the lid. Once opened, you can easily pour out the contents.
Helicals are also great for opening bottles. Simply insert the blades into the top of the bottle and twist the handle to remove the cap. No more messy fingers!
These versatile tools are ideal for camping trips, picnics, and outdoor activities. Not only do they look cool, but they're also extremely durable. They're built to withstand extreme temperatures and heavy loads. So, whether you're hiking or fishing, you can count on these tools to perform every time.
Helicals are also great for home projects. Use them to cut paper, cardboard, foil, and other materials. Then, store the unused portion of the helical in its original packaging. This keeps the blades dry and ready to use whenever needed.
Because helicals are such a unique product, you may wonder how you can purchase them online. Fortunately, you can order them directly from the manufacturer.
Helical folding knives have become increasingly popular among outdoorsmen and hunters. They offer many advantages over traditional fixed blade knives including their ability to fold away easily and quickly. Helicals are also very versatile because they can be used in so many different ways. For example, they can be used as general purpose tools, hunting weapons, camping gear, survival equipment, and even everyday carry items.
However, buying a quality helical folding knife isn't easy. There are thousands of cheap knockoffs available online and in stores. Unfortunately, most of them aren't worth the price tag. So how do you find the best quality helical folding knife? Keep reading to learn about the features you should look for when purchasing a quality helical folding knife.
Look for a durable steel. A strong steel makes for a sturdy knife. You'll want a knife that won't break after years of use. Steel blades tend to hold up better than stainless steel blades. Stainless steel blades rust if left outside in wet conditions.
Look for a sharp edge. Sharp edges are easier to maintain. Dull edges dull faster and may eventually crack. Sharp edges also make cutting through materials like rope and twine easier.
Look for a locking mechanism. Locking mechanisms prevent accidental opening. This feature is especially useful if you plan on carrying your knife in your pocket. If you accidentally open the knife, you can lock it again.
Look for ergonomic handles. Ergonomically designed handles provide a secure grip. When holding a knife, you want something that feels natural and comfortable. Handles that are uncomfortable can cause blisters and other injuries.
Look for a reversible clip point. Reversible clips enable you to switch between single action and double action modes. Single action mode allows for one handed opening and closing of the blade. Double action mode enables two handed operation.
Look for a non slip handle scales. Non slip handle scales keep your hands safe by preventing slippage. Handle scales can come in handy when trying to open a stuck blade.
Helix shape. The helix shape makes this blade ideal for cutting through tough materials such as leather, vinyl, plastic, cardboard, paper, wood, etc. This unique design allows you to cut through these materials easily and quickly.
Sharp edges. With its sharp edges, this blade cuts cleanly through even the toughest materials. Plus, the serrated edge provides additional cutting power.
Stainless steel construction. Stainless steel blades are durable and rust resistant. They're also lightweight, which means they won't weigh down your tool bag.
Ergonomic grip. The ergonomically shaped handle provides a comfortable hold while still allowing you to operate the blade smoothly.
Versatile. Thanks to its versatile design, this blade can perform many tasks. Use it to cut through thick materials, trim branches, slice bread, chop vegetables, peel fruit, etc.
Easy storage. The compact size of this blade makes it perfect for storing in your tool kit. Just slide it into the included sheath and you're ready to go!
