How To Choose The Best Cold Steel Tomahawk

A tomahawk is a great tool for self defense, but they aren't cheap. These knives have been tested by experts, and they're proven to be tough and reliable.

What Is A Cold Steel Tomahawk?

Cold Steel has been making quality knives for over 30 years. Their products include everything from pocketknives to hunting knives. They make some of the best folding knives available today. Cold Steel makes many different types of knives including fixed blades, folders, tactical knives, and even a few specialty items like tomahawks. One of their most popular models is the Tomahawk Survival Knife. This knife was originally made for military personnel who needed a small, light weight knife that could be carried around all day without getting too heavy. The Tomahawk Survival Knife features an 8 inch blade made from high carbon stainless steel. It weighs only 2 ounces and measures less than 3 inches long. It comes with a leather sheath and belt clip. The Tomahawk Survival Knife is perfect for camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, and just about any outdoor activity where you need a lightweight knife that will last through tough conditions.

Where Did The Name Come From?

The word "tomahawk" means "to cut wood". In North America this term refers to a type of axe used primarily for cutting trees.

Who Needs A Cold Steel Tomahawk?

Cold Steel has been around since the early 1900s. But did you know that the company was originally founded in 1885? Cold Steel is one of the oldest companies in America. Today, the company produces everything from knives, tools, and accessories to hunting gear.

The company started off producing kitchen knives. Then, they branched out into other products such as axes, machetes, and hatchets. Nowadays, Cold Steel makes over 40 different types of blades. These range from everyday carry knives to tactical folders and fixed blade knives.

But what sets Cold Steel apart from other knife makers is its commitment to quality. Every Cold Steel product undergoes rigorous testing before being released to the public. Each knife goes through a series of tests including edge retention, cutting ability, durability, and safety. Only then does it receive a final inspection.

This process ensures that every Cold Steel product meets the highest standards possible. As a result, each Cold Steel product comes with a lifetime warranty.

In addition to quality, Cold Steel offers a variety of features. Some of these include the following:

• Cold Steel's proprietary "S" temper finish provides superior corrosion resistance. • Cold Steel's "Cobalt Chrome Vanadium" coating adds a beautiful shine to the blade. • Cold Steel's unique "Laminated Blade Technology" allows for a thinner blade while still maintaining strength. • Cold Steel's "Reverse Grip Handle Design" keeps the handle comfortable and secure.

All of this combined creates a knife that is built to last. And it doesn't hurt that Cold Steel sells affordable knives either.

So, next time you're shopping for a new knife, check out Cold Steel. Not only do they offer top notch quality, but they also sell affordable knives.

So, whether you're looking for a pocket knife or a larger utility knife, Cold Steel has something for everyone.

Features To Consider When Buying A Cold Steel Tomahawk

Quality materials. Cold Steel makes its knives using quality materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium, and more. This ensures that their knives will hold up over time and perform well under tough conditions.

Sharp blades. Cold Steel uses sharpening techniques that ensure its knives stay razor sharp. They sharpen each knife individually, ensuring they maintain their edge throughout their lifetime.

Stainless steel construction. Cold Steel builds its knives with a solid stainless steel core that protects the blade from rusting and corrosion. The handle scales are made from hardened steel, giving them strength and durability.

Comfortable grip. Cold Steel has designed its handles to fit comfortably in your hand. They feature ergonomic designs that allow you to wield the knife easily while maintaining control.

Easy to clean. Cold Steel makes its knives easy to clean. Simply wipe down the blade with soap and warm water and let dry. Don't forget to do this regularly to prevent buildup of bacteria.

Versatile design. Cold Steel makes its knives versatile enough to tackle just about anything. From hunting to camping, fishing to fire starting, these knives can take care of whatever task you throw at them.

Different Types Of Cold Steel Tomahawk

Cold Steel Tomahawks are a staple among knife enthusiasts. They are inexpensive, durable, and offer excellent cutting performance. Cold Steel makes two main varieties of tomahawks; the Frontier and the Survival. Both models feature a blade made from 1095 carbon steel. The blades are heat treated and ground to create a razor sharp edge. Each model features a handle made from wood or fiberglass. The handles are comfortable enough to hold without feeling heavy. cold steel tomahawks are also lightweight making them easy to use.

The Frontier was originally created by Cold Steel founder Chris Reeve. He wanted to produce a quality tool that could withstand harsh conditions. The result was a well balanced design that offered exceptional durability. The Survival was developed later and offers a slightly larger blade. It is lighter than the Frontier and is better suited for hunting. Both models are available in three sizes; small, medium, and large. All three sizes are roughly equivalent in size.

Both models are available in black, brown, green, orange, red, silver, tan, white, yellow, and blue. The colors are chosen to match various outfits. For example, hunters might choose a dark color to blend in with the forest floor. Others might choose a bright color to draw attention away from themselves. The colors are also useful for identifying your weapon if you ever lose it.

Each model is available in a variety of lengths ranging from 5 inches to 12 inches. The length is determined by how long you plan to hunt with the tomahawk. A longer blade allows you to swing farther and hit harder. Longer blades are also less likely to break off. On the flip side, shorter blades are easier to control and maneuver. They are also safer since they don’t extend past your hand as far.

If you are planning to use your tomahawk in close quarters, you should consider getting a short blade. Short blades are easier to wield and are safer to use. They are also easier to conceal. If you are going to be swinging your tomahawk at targets further away, you should go with a longer blade. Longer blades are heavier and therefore more stable. They are also easier to swing and strike.
