How To Choose The Best Benchmade Socp Training

If you're looking for a knife that has everything you could possibly want in a training knife, then the Socp may just be what you're after. This knife features a drop point style blade made from CPM S35VN steel, a handle made from G10, and a pocket clip. The Socp also comes with a leather sheath, making it ideal for carrying around while you train.

What Is A Benchmade Socp Training?

The SOCP was founded in 1978 by Robert J. "Bob" Benchmade. SOCPs were originally made of stainless steel but today most SOCPs are made of carbon steel. They are available in both drop point and clip point styles. Most SOCPs come with either a black G10 handle or a brown leather sheath. The SOCP has been around since the early 1980s and has become very popular among many different types of people including military personnel, law enforcement officers, hunters, outdoorsmen, chefs, cooks, and even some professional athletes.

Why Would I Want A Benchmade Socp?

There are several reasons why someone might choose to own a Benchmade SOCP. First, the SOCP is extremely versatile. It will cut through just about anything you throw at it. Second, the SOCP is easy to sharpen. Third, the SOCP is affordable. Fourth, the SOCP is durable. Fifth, the SOCP is lightweight.

Who Needs A Benchmade Socp Training?

We love this knife because it offers a unique design that makes it perfect for everyday carry. But did you know that it was designed specifically for training purposes?

When we were designing the SOCP, we knew that we wanted to create a pocketknife that would offer a comfortable grip while still being able to perform tasks quickly and efficiently. We also wanted to ensure that the knife could easily fit inside a soccer ball. After testing various designs, we settled on a handle made of G10 material. This material provides a nice balance between strength and flexibility. It’s also lightweight and durable.

We then created a frame around the handle that allows us to attach a lanyard. This feature lets you wear the knife around your neck during practice sessions. It also keeps the knife close at hand when you need it.

Finally, we included two thumb studs on either side of the blade. These allow you to open the knife with ease.

All of these features combine to form a knife that’s ideal for use during practice sessions. At the same time, it’s light enough to comfortably carry around in your pocket. It’s also strong enough to cut through any materials you encounter during practice.

So, whether you’re practicing alone or with others, the SOCP is sure to be a valuable addition to your toolkit. Now, let’s take a look at how to properly train with this knife.

To begin, place the knife flat against your leg. Then, grasp the handle with your right hand. Next, rotate your wrist until the blade points toward your thigh. Hold the knife firmly against your leg. Finally, push down on the backside of the blade with your left hand. As you do this, slide the blade across your leg. Repeat this process five times before moving on to the next step.

Next, hold the knife in front of your chest. Rotate your wrist until the blade points toward your shoulder. Again, press down on the backside of the blade with your left hand. Slide the blade along your arm. Once again, repeat this motion five times.

Now, move on to the final stage of training. Place the knife flat against your leg. Grasp the handle with your right hand. Turn your wrist until the blade points toward your knee. Press down on the backside of the blade with your left hand. Slide the blade along your leg. Repeat this action five times.

Features To Consider When Buying A Benchmade Socp Training

Blade length. The longer the knife, the more effective it is for self defense. But if you're looking for a short knife, you may prefer something shorter. Consider how you plan to carry the knife. Do you plan to wear it? Carry it in your pocket? Keep it in a sheath?

Handle material. Some knives feature wood handles while others are made of metal. Metal handles tend to hold their shape well over time, but they do scratch easily. Wood handles are less prone to scratching, but they can chip or splinter if dropped. Choose a handle that feels comfortable in your hand.

Weight. Knives with heavier blades weigh more than those with lighter ones. This makes them easier to control during training sessions. Lighter weights are great for beginners who still need to develop proper technique. However, heavy weights are ideal for experts who already know how to fight effectively.

Finish. There are many finishes available for knifes. Some features include satin, matte, polished, and even engraving. Each finish has its own advantages and disadvantages. Satin finishes are soft and smooth, but they tend to wear off quickly. Polished finishes are durable, but they're difficult to maintain. Engraved finishes are permanent, but they're expensive.

Edge type. Most knives feature either serrated edges or straight edges. Serrated edges cut through clothing and other materials more easily, but they leave behind jagged cuts. Straight edged knives are safer for cutting softer materials, such as paper and cloth. They're also easier to sharpen.

Stainless steel. Stainless steel is corrosion resistant, which means it doesn't rust. That said, stainless steel tends to dull faster than carbon steel. Carbon steel is harder and lasts longer, but it scratches easily. Pick a model that strikes a balance between durability and sharpness.

Size. Knife sizes range from pocketknives to full-size hunting knives. Smaller models are perfect for everyday carry, whereas larger models are ideal for fighting. Find a size that fits your needs.

Different Types Of Benchmade Socp Training

Socp training is something that every knife enthusiast should consider doing. It helps improve your overall skillset by giving you practice with a variety of tasks. It also allows you to sharpen your knives without damaging them. Here we will go through some of the different types of Socp training that you can perform.

Benchmade Socp Training. This is the most basic form of Socp training. All you need is a pair of scissors and a piece of wood. Simply cut up the wood into small pieces and place them on top of each other. Then use the scissors to cut through the wood. Repeat this process until you reach the desired thickness. When cutting the wood, keep your hand flat against the table. This prevents the wood from moving and causing damage to your knives.

Benchmade Fixed Blade Socp Training. This is essentially the same as above except instead of using scissors, you will use a fixed blade knife. A fixed blade knife is a good alternative to a folding knife since it does not fold. It is also less likely to slip out of your hands. To perform this task, simply hold the knife horizontally and begin sawing away at the wood. Again, keep your hand flat against the table to prevent the wood from slipping.

This is the same as above except instead of holding the knife vertically, you will hold it horizontally. Hold the knife between your thumb and index finger and begin sawing away at the wood. Keep your fingers close together and don't let the knife move side to side. This will ensure that you don't accidentally slice yourself.

This is the same as above except instead of using a fixed blade, you will use a folder. Fold the knife open and begin sawing away at the wood. Make sure you keep the tip pointed down towards the ground. This will prevent the knife from sliding off your hand.

This is the same as above except instead of using a fixed blade, you will use a drop point. Drop points are a bit harder to master than folders. Practice makes perfect though. Start with a sharpening stone and slowly increase the angle of the edge until you feel comfortable.
