How To Choose The Best Benchmade Infidel

Benchmade knives have been around since the early 1900s, but they only really started making their name known in the knife community in the last decade. They now make some of the highest quality blades available, and their reputation has grown as a result. If you're interested in getting into the knife industry, then you might want to check out what Benchmade makes - they offer everything from pocketknives to fixed blade knives, and even custom made ones.

What Is A Benchmade Infidel?

The Benchmade Infidel is an extremely popular knife among hunters, outdoorsmen, and survivalists. It was first introduced in 2007 and has since become a staple for many people who enjoy using knives. The name "Infidel" comes from the fact that this knife features a blade made from carbon steel instead of stainless steel. This makes the blade more durable than traditional stainless steel blades, but less flexible. Carbon steel is harder than stainless steel, making it ideal for cutting through bone, wood, and other hard materials. Stainless steel is softer, making it better suited for slicing and chopping tasks. However, carbon steel is much stronger than stainless steel, allowing the user to cut through tough materials without breaking the blade. In addition, carbon steel is easier to sharpen than stainless steel, making it perfect for sharpening while camping or hunting.

Where Did The Name Come From?

Benchmade originally named the Infidel after the movie "The Passion of the Christ." They were inspired by the scene where Jesus is crucified. During his crucifixion, he asks God why he had chosen him to die on the cross.

Who Needs A Benchmade Infidel?

Benchmade has been around since 1884. But did you know that this company was founded by two brothers named John and William Smith? Today, the company continues to produce quality knives and tools. Their most famous product is the "Infidel" knife. It's a classic design that combines speed and strength.

The Infidel is made from CPM S35VN steel. This type of steel is known for its toughness and durability. It's also extremely hard which makes it ideal for cutting through bone and other tough materials. The blade shape is flat ground and hollow ground. Hollow grinding creates a thin spine along the back side of the blade. This allows the blade to flex during use while still providing maximum protection against accidental cuts.

There are three sizes of the Infidel. Each size comes with a black leather sheath. These sheaths feature a snap closure and belt loop attachment system. The sheaths also have a pocket inside for storing spare blades.

Each knife includes a wooden handle wrapped in black leather. The handles are comfortable and secure thanks to the wrap-around grip. The handles also feature a lanyard hole for attaching keys, cell phones, etc. The lanyards can be removed easily using a simple pull tab located near the top of the handle.

It's also sold in retail stores across the country. Many people prefer the smaller version of the Infidel. However, the larger model offers better balance and comfort.

This knife is perfect for anyone who wants a strong folder that feels comfortable in his hand. It's also a great tool for camping, hunting, fishing, and any other outdoor activity where you need a reliable knife.

The Infidel is a staple in my collection. I love how durable it is and how comfortable it feels in my hands. I highly recommend this knife to anyone interested in buying a quality folding knife.

The Importance Of Purchasing A Quality Benchmade Infidel

If you've ever owned a knife, then you probably already understand how important knives are. Knives have become so commonplace that we take them for granted. We use them every single day, whether it's cutting food, opening packages, or just getting things done. And yet, many people aren't aware of the importance of buying a quality knife. After all, they're relatively cheap, right? Well, yes, they are cheap, but they're also very valuable. A quality knife is worth far more than its price tag. So, if you want to invest in something that will serve you well for years to come, buy a quality knife instead of settling for one that won't hold up.

When you buy a quality knife, you'll notice that it feels solid in your hand. This means that it's going to last you for years to come. You may even find that it holds its sharpness better than other knives because it's been designed to do exactly that.

Just like any tool, a quality knife needs to be able to handle whatever task you throw at it. For example, if you're a hunter, you might use your knife to skin game. Or maybe you're a chef who wants to slice vegetables. Regardless of what kind of job you need your knife to do, it needs to be able to handle it. If it doesn't, you could end up with a dull blade that makes chopping veggies difficult.

Like anything else, knives need to be cared for properly. They need to be stored safely and cleaned regularly. If you don't clean them, bacteria can grow on your blades. Over time, this can affect their performance. If you let your knives sit unused, rust can form on the edges of your blades. Rust can eventually weaken your knives and make them unusable.

Features To Consider When Buying A Benchmade Infidel

Blade steel. The blade steel used in a knife matters just as much as the handle material. Blades made of carbon steel tend to hold their sharpness longer than blades made of stainless steel. But if you prefer stainless steel blades, they're more durable and easier to sharpen.

Handle materials. Knives made of wood, plastic, or aluminum tend to be lighter and less expensive than knives made of metal. However, wooden handles can warp over time and become brittle. And plastic handles can break easily.

Edge geometry. Some knives feature straight edges while others have serrations along the cutting edge. Straight edges are generally sharper than serrated ones, but serrated edges are usually stronger.

Length. Longer knives give you more reach, but shorter knives are easier to carry. Most people prefer knives between 3" and 4".

Weight. Heavy knives are harder to control and may slip during use. Lightweight knives weigh less and are easier to maneuver.

Comfort. Comfort is subjective. Some people prefer comfortable grips, while others prefer stiffer grips. Others prefer knives with smooth finishes, while still others prefer knifes with textured surfaces.

Sharpening. Sharpening is another area where preferences differ. Some people prefer to hand sharpen their own knives, while others prefer professional sharpening services.

Value. While there are many factors to consider when shopping for a knife, price isn't always the most important factor. Many quality knives cost hundreds of dollars. But there are plenty of affordable options available.
