How To Choose The Best Benchmade Contego

Benchmade knives have been around since the early 1900s, but they only really started making their name known in the last decade. They were originally made by hand, but now they are mass produced using CNC machines. The quality of the blades has improved over the years, and today they are considered among the best knives available. If you're interested in getting into the world of knifemaking, then this article will help you decide whether Benchmade knives are for you.

What Is A Benchmade Contego?

The Benchmade Contego Knife is an everyday carry pocketknife for men. It has been engineered to provide maximum utility while maintaining its small size. The blade is made from CPM S35VN stainless steel, which provides excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. The handle scales are constructed of G10, making this knife lightweight and comfortable to hold. This knife features a reversible tip up/tip down clip point design, allowing you to choose between righty or lefty tip ups. The blade is removable for easy cleaning and maintenance.

Who needs a Benchmade Contego?

Benchmade knives are known for being one of the best brands in the business. But did you know that you can get a similar quality blade made by another company?

The name "Contego" comes from the Italian word for "concentrate." While this isn't exactly a new concept, Benchmade has taken the idea of concentrating its attention on one product line and applied it to the design of its Contégno series of pocketknives. These knives feature a unique handle shape that allows you to hold the knife close to your body while still allowing you to easily access the blade.

This makes these knives perfect for everyday carry. Whether you use them for cutting food, opening packages, or anything else, you'll appreciate how comfortable they are to hold. And since they're made from stainless steel, they'll last for years.

These knives aren't cheap. However, they do offer a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and craftsmanship. If you're interested in getting a knife that offers excellent value, then look no further than the Benchmade Contego.

What sets the Contego apart from other knives is the way it handles. Unlike most knives, which require a certain amount of force to open, the Contego opens effortlessly. Simply press down on the thumb stud located near the spine of the blade and the blade pops right off.

Another thing that makes the Contego stand out is the way it feels in your hand. Since the handle is thinner than normal, it doesn't add any extra bulk to the knife. Instead, it fits comfortably in your hand and provides a secure grip.

While the Contego isn't the cheapest knife on the market, it does offer exceptional value. And if you're looking for a dependable knife that will last for years, then look no further than the Benchmade Contego.

The Importance Of Purchasing A Quality Benchmade Contego

If you've ever used a knife, then you probably already understand how important knives are to everyday life. Knives are essential tools that we use every single day. They help us prepare food, clean up after ourselves, and even protect us from harm. When it comes to buying a knife, however, many people tend to focus on price rather than quality. This is a mistake because quality matters just as much as price. Here are three reasons why you should buy a quality knife instead of a cheap one:

A quality knife will hold its edge better than a cheap knife. You'll find that a quality knife will maintain its edge for years, whereas a cheap knife may lose its edge within weeks. So if you want to keep your kitchen utensils looking like they did the first day you bought them, invest in a quality knife.

Cheap knives have plastic handles that wear down quickly. On the other hand, a quality knife will have a wooden handle that won't break easily. Wooden handles are stronger than plastic ones, so you'll end up using less wood glue when fixing your knife.

While a quality knife might seem expensive compared to a cheap knife, you'll save money in the long run by investing in a quality knife. After all, you'll have to replace a cheap knife sooner or later. Investing in a quality knife now means you'll save money in the future.

Different Types Of Benchmade Contego

Benchmade Contegos are knives that feature a blade made from CPM 154 steel. They were created by Benchmade Knives in 2006. Since then, they have become incredibly popular among knife enthusiasts. Their popularity stems from the fact that they offer excellent performance and durability. Benchmade Contegos are known for their ability to hold up well against heavy use. They are also fairly affordable.

The main difference between a regular Benchmade Contégio and a Benchmade Contego is that the latter features a handle made from wood. This allows users to customize the look of their knife. For example, they can choose to add a wooden grip, leather sheath, or any number of other accessories.

Below we will go through each of the three variations of Benchmade Contegos. We will start with the standard version and move on to the two special editions.

This is the original version of the Benchmade Contego. It was released in 2007 and remains the most basic model. It features a black G10 handle and a plain edge blade. The blade is 3.25 inches long and weighs about 1.5 ounces. It is made from CPM 154 stainless steel.

It offers good balance and feel. Its thin profile makes it comfortable to hold. It is lightweight and easy to conceal.

Its design does not lend itself to customization. It cannot be customized beyond its appearance.

In 2011, Benchmade introduced a Special Edition of the Contego. It featured a custom wood handle and a satin finish blade. It weighed 2.75 ounces and measured 4.5 inches long. It was made from CPM 154 stainless steel.

It did not perform as well as the standard version. It tended to dull quickly.
