How To Choose The Best Benchmade 154Cm

Benchmade knives have been around since the early 1900s, but they only really started making their name known in the last decade. They are now considered by many as the premier brand of custom knifemakers, and for good reason. Their products are well made, affordable, and easy to use. If you're interested in learning more about what makes a great Benchmade knife, then read our review of the 154CM.

What Is A Benchmade 154Cm?

The 154CM is an extremely popular fixed blade knife made by the famous American knifemaker, Benchmade Knives. The 154CM has been around for many years now and remains one of the most sought after knives available today. It was first introduced in 1991 and quickly became a best seller for Benchmade. Since its introduction, the 154CM has become a staple among collectors and enthusiasts alike.

Where Did The Name "154" Come From?

This particular model features a 3mm thick black G10 handle scale and a 154cm long blade. The 154CM is a very versatile knife and is perfect for everyday carry, camping, hunting, fishing, and even survival situations. If you want a knife that will last forever, this is the knife for you!

Who needs a Benchmade 154Cm?

We knew right away that this was going to become a classic. But did you know that this model has been around longer than any other Benchmade knife?

It started off as a custom order made for a customer named John T. Williams. He wanted a knife that would fit his hand perfectly. His request was simple - I want a knife that feels comfortable in my hand.

We took his words seriously. We set to work creating a blade that felt perfect in his hands. Then, after months of testing, we were ready to send it to him. When he received it, he loved it. He said it was the best knife he'd ever owned.

Since then, we've continued to refine the 154CM. Today, it remains the benchmark against which every other Benchmade knife is measured. Even today, customers still ask for the original 154CM. They say things like, This is the only knife I want to carry.

But, over time, we noticed that while the 154CM remained a favorite among our customers, it wasn't being carried nearly enough. People weren't using it nearly as much as they could. So, we decided to create another version of the 154CM. One that was smaller. One that was lighter. One that was better suited for everyday use.

The result is the 154Cm. It's a smaller version of the 154CM. It's designed to be a daily carry knife. It's a tool that fits comfortably in your pocket or purse. It's a knife that you can bring along everywhere you go.

The 154Cm is built with the same attention to detail as its larger sibling. Like the 154CM, the 154Cm features a CPM S30V steel blade. It comes razor sharp right out of the package. And it retains the same ergonomic design that makes the 154CM such a pleasure to hold. The 154Cm also shares the same handle scales as the 154CM. These scales are made from G10 wood. They offer incredible grip strength and durability. And they look really cool.

When you open the 154Cm, you'll notice that it looks very similar to the 154CM. Both feature a black oxide finish. They share the same contoured bolster and finger choil. And, like the 154CM, the 154Cm includes a lanyard hole. This allows you to attach a keychain or carabiner to the hilt for easy access.

The Importance Of Purchasing A Quality Benchmade 154Cm

If you've ever wanted to learn how to knifefight, then now might be the perfect opportunity. There are many different ways to fight with a knife. You can use a single handed technique, two handed techniques, or even a combination of the two. Regardless of which method you choose, one thing remains constant - safety. When learning how to fight with a knife, it's essential to practice safely. This means practicing with a friend who knows exactly what they're doing. So if you want to learn how to fight with a knife, here are some things to keep in mind:

Practice with a partner. Fighting with a partner provides several advantages. First, it allows you to work on your skills together. Second, it gives you a chance to test your skills against another person. Third, it allows you to receive feedback about your fighting style. Finally, it allows you to practice with a variety of weapons. For example, you could start by practicing with a folding knife. Then, once you have mastered that skill, try switching to a fixed blade knife like a Benchmade 154CM.

Learn proper form. Learning proper form is extremely important when fighting with a knife. Proper form ensures that you do not hurt yourself. It also makes it easier to defend yourself. Learn how to hold your weapon properly. Practice holding your weapon in various positions. Make sure that you maintain control of your weapon at all times. And most importantly, never point your finger at your opponent. Pointing your finger at them puts their eyes in danger of being injured.

Know where your opponents weak points are. Know where your opponents' weaknesses lie. Knowing your opponents weakness can help you decide whether or not you should attack him/her. If you find his/her weakness, then you'll know how to best exploit it. Conversely, if you find his/her strength, then you'll know how to protect yourself from it.

Always wear protective gear. Whether you're fighting with a single hand or multiple hands, wearing protective gear is absolutely necessary.

Features To Consider When Buying A Benchmade 154Cm

Blade steel. The blade steel used in a knife has a lot to do with how sharp the blade will stay over time. Look for knives made from stainless steel, carbon steel, or titanium. Stainless steel blades tend to hold their edge longer than other types of blades.

Handle material. Knives with wooden handles are more durable than those with plastic handles. However, if you prefer a handle that feels comfortable in your hand, then a plastic handle may work just fine.

Length. The length of the blade affects how well the knife cuts through food. This gives you plenty of room to cut through large pieces of meat or vegetables.

Weight. Weight matters, especially when you're using a knife to chop or slice. Look for knives that weigh less than 3 ounces. Anything heavier than this makes chopping and slicing difficult.

Stainless steel. Stainless steel is a popular choice among chefs and cooks who want a knife that holds its edge longer. Look for knives that are stamped "stainless" rather than coated in chrome plating.

Finish. Some knives feature a satin finish, while others have a mirror finish. Satin finishes give the knife a matte appearance, while mirrors add shine to the surface.

Edge geometry. Edge geometry refers to the shape of the cutting edge of the knife. There are three basic shapes: straight, curved, and serrated. Straight edges are most common, followed closely by curves and then serrations.

Carbon steel. Carbon steel is a type of alloy that contains iron and carbon. Because carbon steel is harder than traditional stainless steel, it tends to hold an edge longer than other materials.

Titanium. Titanium is another popular option for kitchen knives. Unlike stainless steel, titanium does not rust. And unlike carbon steel, titanium doesn't dull easily.

Different Types Of Benchmade 154Cm

Benchmade knives are known for making quality blades. Their reputation extends beyond the kitchen and into the field. The 154CM is available in two sizes; 5.5 inches and 6.25 inches. Both feature a 3.75 inch clip point blade.

154CM Hunter. The 154CM hunter is a larger version of the 154CM. It features a 4.0 inch clip point blade and a titanium handle. It weighs 7 ounces and measures 8.75 inches overall. It is available in two sizes; 5.5 inches and 6.5 inches. The 154CM hunter is intended for hunters who want something bigger than the 154CM.

154CM Tactical. The 154CM tactical is a smaller version of the 154CM hunter. It features a 2.8 inch clip point blade and a titanium handle. It weighs 1.7 ounces and measures 5.5 inches overall. It is available in two sizes; 5.5 inches and 6.5 inches.
