Buyer's Guide

Does the Crock Stick Really Sharpen Knives?

A compact, lightweight and efficient fish hook sharpener with an integrated keychain. The patented design makes this a convenient tool for carrying anywhere. Features two removable aluminized ceramic sharpening stones with an ergonomic interlocking design that make it easy to carry.

The Crock Stick is small enough to fit in your pocket. It's also super-efficient. Unlike other rechargeable sharpeners with rechargeable batteries that require recharging every time you use them, the Crock Stick allows you to sharpen your knives in minutes. You can use it in the sink, in the tub, even in the rain- and you can leave it charging while you clean up the grill or prepare dinner.

Crock sticks come with interchangeable high-carbon stainless steel blades that are extremely hard and powerful. They have been chosen for their ability to cut through tough substances like cheese, egg whites and meat without ripping or damaging them. The blades are ergonomically designed for comfort and ease of use. Each individual blade is balanced on its end, and it features a lip that helps prevent damage to sensitive parts.

The patented self-sharpening system of the Crock Stick allows it to work even when the blade is dull. Because each individual blade is balanced individually, it cuts the knife in two different ways: straight and edge. If you want to make sure that the knives are as sharp as possible, you should always sharpen them yourself using the included hardwood base. But, if you're like most people, there's nothing wrong with having the Crock Stick sharpens your knives automatically for you.

There are a few things to remember about the Crock Stick sharpener. Like all rechargeable batteries, you should avoid leaving the charger in the charger for extended periods of time. This will affect the performance of the device. Also, the sharpener works on batteries only. You can't use it to sharpen metal rods, pencils or other hard metal objects.

One thing that might concern some users is whether the Crock Stick will work as well as other rechargeable knife sharpeners in terms of getting a straight edge or a curved edge. It does work well on getting a straight edge, but you have to use the manual to get the best result. Most consumers find that the curved edge sharpener works better than the straight edge, and for those who have trouble catching nails or other sharp items on their fingers, the Crock Stick is perfect. Unlike other brands, the Crock Stick models do not have any moving parts, so users don't need to worry about moving them from one spot to another, or about the hassle of cleaning the exterior parts of the device. It's just like using any other brand of rechargeable batteries.

The Crock Stick can sharpen both edges of a standard knife or can also work on scissors. There is no limit to the objects you can sharpen with this handy little Crock. It's easy to carry and it has an adjustable sharpening surface so it can be used for any type of cutting, whether you're cutting vegetables, fish or anything else. Using the Crock Stick for knife sharpening gives you a professional-looking edge without the extra time or effort that traditional sharpeners take.

While there is no universal consensus about how well the Crock Stick performs as a sharpener, most users do not give it high grades and recommend it mostly for its convenience. Its small size and battery life make it impractical for home use, but its two-sided blades are ideal for any number of tasks, including mini crockery projects. And its two-sided blades can handle a much wider range of objects than sharpeners with fixed blades.
